Wellcott ("we", "us") helps people find affordable clinics and keep track of their care. We built this app for people already stretched thin, so we collect as little as we can and never sell your information. This policy explains what we collect and why.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the name you choose to display. If you use the personal features of the app, we store the information you add, including:
You control this data. It's tied to your account, and only you can see it.
To show clinics near you, the app uses your device's location. This happens on your device to sort and search the clinic directory — we do not store your location on our servers or share it with anyone. You can deny location access and still search by entering a place manually.
We use analytics tools to understand how the app is used — for example, which screens are opened and whether features work as expected. This may include general device information (such as device type and operating system) and app-activity data. We use this only to fix problems and improve the app, not to identify you personally.
Your account and personal data are stored using Supabase, our backend and hosting provider, on infrastructure located in the United States. Access is protected so that each account can only reach its own data. Receipt photos are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible.
We share limited information with providers that help us run the app:
These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Some parts of the app may link to third-party services, such as prescription discount programs. If you follow one of these links, that service has its own privacy practices, and we may earn a referral fee. These programs are not insurance, and using them is always optional.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, and your associated data — favorites, visits, expenses, and receipt photos — will be removed. To request deletion or ask a question, email us at hello@wellcott.app.
Wellcott is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app where appropriate.
